The flooding effective area is only Rasuwaghadi

The disaster that occurred on Wednesday-26August,2026 wasn’t because of rain or a rising river. Near the Nepal- Tibet border on the northern side of Nepal there was a ice rock glacier on the top of mountain of tibet which due to a melting a ice holding the ice rock which then suddenly sedimented into landslide dam and barrier lake . Due to a heavy fallen load of ice into a barrier lake(Lhende khola ) at the bottom , there cause a seismic signal; felt like earthquake. The lake barrier brust and caused a massive flood which was uncontrollable . There was a river (Bhote khosi) flowing through the places. The massive flood which was uncharted enormous flow of water which swipe away the village like Rasuwagadhi, timure, ghattekhola,hydropowers, Syafrubesi, Betrawati, Trisuli,Nuwakot, Dhading, Galchi and so on within a second the river was around 400 meter high than usual . A river currents and volume was so large that buildings,house, bridges, roads, trees including people and everything on the way was swallowed by flood ,  networks, electricity no and those areas. Only few people was able to run and save their lives. Thousands of people lost their lives and thousands are still not found . The dead body that was found was in a critical condition. People lost their family, their lifetime savings, houses and so on. 

The flooding effective area is only in Langtang region on the Rasughadi Tibet border  along the river. But it will open soon the border. Langtang vallley and Gosaikunda Trail is safe you can star from Dunche to Langtang Trek

 

 The government and the people are working continuously and showed a rapid progress and has reconstructed the road and bridges, electricity etc. 

Apart from effected area we can do trekking on other Regions like Everest, Annapurna and Manaslu .Trekking is still  possible to do in those areas.
