North of Pokhara, one of the finest of Himalayan journeys is the classic trek into the inner sanctum of the  Annapurnas. Here, giant peaks such as the 8000 meters Annapurna 1, as well as Annapurna South,  Gangapurna and Machhapuchhre, encircle the natural amphitheater known as the Annapurna Sanctuary Trek. Combining the trek into the Sanctuary with a visit to Ghorepani and the classic Himalayan viewpoint of Poon Hill, this trek manages to cram the full range of Nepalese trekking experiences into 10 varied days of walking. We encounter sub-tropical forest teeming with wildlife, pretty villages with their neatly terraced rice fields, as well as pleasant ridge walking and spectacular Himalayan panoramas. Passing through the 'gates' of the Sanctuary, we ascend briefly above 4000 meters into a world of ice and snow where we are surrounded by giant Himalayan summits.

The Annapurna Sanctuary starts from Kathmandu to Pokhara by flying and start trek onward. Along the journey, you and your children can enjoy the stunning views of the Annapurna range, Mt. Machhapuchhre (6993m), Mt. Hiunchuli (6443m), Tilicho Peak (7134m), and many other snowy peaks. Trek to Annapurna short takes you through rhododendron forests, which will excite and entertain your children. The waterfall, rivers, glaciers, frozen trails, suspension bridges, and the forests will certainly turn your child into great storytellers. This trek will take your family to two base camps, Annapurna Base Camp and Machhapuchhre Base Camp. Apart from this, interacting with other children from the Himalayan region, and playing with chicken and goats will carve a long lasting memory in your child's mind. Your family can have an engaging time dressing up in Gurung attire in Ghandruk Museum. In case your child feels tired, there will be a provision of renting a horse, which will not only relieve his/her tiredness but also add on to their exciting experience, we will also be able to enjoy some free time in each of Nepal's main (and very contrasting) cities.
