Mr. Durga Tamang is the Executive Director of Himalayan Unforgettable Adventure Ltd and one of its founding members. He grew up in Gatlang, which is situated in the pictures Langtang region 165 km north of Kathmandu. Beautiful Gatlang is one overnight stop on the famous Tamang Heritage Trek which is known for its cultural depth and scenic views. He started his career as a porter in 1999AD. He has been working in trekking tourism for more than 19 years guiding groups to Langtang, Gosaikunda, and later he started trekking in another region like Annapurna, Mustang, Manaslu, Everest, Dolpo. as well as others in the Himalayan region.

In order to support his local communities and fellow countrymen. He established his own trekking agency Himalayan Unforgettable Adventure Pvt. Ltd. in 2011 with a focus on promoting the Tamang Heritage Trail. A major part of his income goes to communities for development projects. At the same time. He is able to provide hisTamang brothers and sisters with jobs which again help the local population in the remote areas of the Rasuwa district. 

He feels very close with International friends, European friends in Spain, French, Germany, Italy, Belgium, Portuguese, Austria, Netherlands. As well he got chance to do trekking in Nepal. He is intimately familiar with numerous local traditions, customs, and languages of all the major trekking areas. He loves to share his cultural insights with our clients that are not covered in any guide book. For his work, he has always received outstanding reviews and the highest degree of appreciation.

 More about, Durga is also a highly engaged social worker. Being a half orphan himself and coming from a very poor background he knows the importance of receiving a decent education and started his mission for the new generation. In order to support the people of his home district Rasuwa, he established the local NGO “Rural Tourism and Environment Education Society” (RTEES Nepal) in 2009. The organization is aiming to enhance the economic capacity of rural communities by eco-friendly and qualitative tourism. The gain from this ultimately goes to the schools and children of the communities. TREES Nepal is therefore proud to support five schools and is actively involved in local development.

 Himalayan Unforgettable Adventures is fully governmentally authorized and affiliated with various tourism associations in Nepal. We are a small but efficient family run business and we provide quality services all over Nepal, India, Tibet, and Bhutan making you feel a part of our family.
