Heartily Welcome to Nepal!

The Annapurna region of Nepal is a land so gorgeous, it’s long been the ultimate trekking dream for hikers. Here, the sacred peaks of Annapurna, Machapuchare, and Dhaulagiri, shining with snow year round, tower over ancient rhododendron forests, icy rivers, and temperate jungles where tigers still roam. You will also experience the ethnic and cultural diversity of the peoples in this region as you undertake the trekking.

The Annapurna region Trekking is situated in middle north Nepal and is defined by the Kali Gandaki River to the west, the Marsyangdi river and Dudh Khola valleys to the east, the Pokhara valley to the south and the Himalaya foothills that run along the Nepal-Tibetan border to the north.

The Annapurna Conservation Area (ACAP) was established in 1986 under the auspices of the King Mahendra Trust for Nature Conservation. The project was built on the principle that ‘Conservation is not a separation of people from nature. It is the empowerment of people as nature’s protectors’. The program began by educating the local lodge owners in hygiene and sanitation matters, fuel diversity by moving away from using local forest timber and in maintaining local culture. ACAP, a non-governmental organization, has supported and encouraged the development of the local infrastructure and income generating activities in environmentally sensitive ways such as solar power, biogas cooking, and bio-degrading toilet systems. All this has resulted in the area providing some of the best trekking services to be found in Nepal.

Just like in the Khumbu region, there are many popular trekking routes in the Annapurna Himal. The area is easily accessible, lodges in the hills are plentiful, and treks here offer good scenery of both high mountains and lowland villages.

The Annapurna Trek luckily survived to the earthquake of 2015 with very little damage, compared to other areas such as Kathmandu, EverestLangtang or Ganesh Himal. It is therefore very suitable for trekkers with many comfortable lodges on the way. Trekking in Annapurna Short itinerary different itinerary different cost, Annapurna Trekking Guide you can get.
